Construction Sites

Under AS/NZS 3760 construction work sites are classified as a hostile work environment. Because of that, electrical appliances on site — power tools, extension leads, RCD power boards, compressors, cement mixers, welders and the rest — require inspection, testing and tagging every 3 months.

A big part of what we do

Quarterly testing and tagging for construction is a significant part of our business. Coming from a trade background ourselves, we understand the demands of an everyday work schedule and can fit in around yours rather than holding up the job.

Who we work with

We test for all trades — builders, carpenters, cabinetmakers, plumbers, painters and landscapers among them.

Don't forget the RCDs

On construction work the user must push-button test RCDs daily or before every use, and trip time and trip current must be tested by a licensed electrical contractor every 3 months. See RCD testing.

Simple, flat-rate pricing

No hidden costs and no call-out surprises. We charge a flat $120 + GST for the first 10 items tested. Additional items are $5–$8 each + GST, depending on how many there are and the type of work environment.

You get a straightforward quote before any work starts.

Elite Test and Tag is fully qualified, insured and licensed (licence number 67096), and tests to Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760.
