Terms of Service
Elite Test and Tag is a brand of Elite Maintenance Services Group Pty Ltd. These terms apply to this site and our services.
Elite Maintenance Services Group, Australia Wide With Pride
These terms apply to the electrical testing and tagging services Elite Test and Tag provides. By booking or authorising work, you accept the terms below. They sit alongside, and never reduce, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Access to equipment
We can only test what we can reach. Please make sure the equipment to be tested is accessible and available on the day, and tell us in advance about any area needing an induction, a permit or an escort.
- Equipment in use, locked away or off site at the time of our visit cannot be tested and will not be tagged.
- Testing briefly interrupts power to each appliance. Tell us before we start about anything that must not be switched off — servers, refrigeration, medical or laboratory equipment, or any process that cannot be interrupted.
- Please back up and close down computer equipment before we test it.
Health & safety
We follow site rules and expect a safe place to work. Tell us about hazards before we start, and keep people clear of equipment while it is being tested.
Results and tagging
- Equipment that passes receives a durable, non-reusable tag showing the tester, the test date, the retest date and the reference to AS/NZS 3760.
- Equipment that fails is tagged out and withdrawn from service immediately. Repairing or replacing failed equipment is your responsibility unless separately agreed in writing.
- A test confirms the condition of an appliance at the time of testing only. It is not a guarantee against later damage, misuse or wear, and it does not extend to the fixed wiring of the premises.
- You receive a printout or PDF record of every item on completion. Keeping that record, and re-testing by the due date, is your responsibility.
Retest intervals
Retest dates are set from AS/NZS 3760 according to the workplace and environment you describe to us. If the way a site is used changes, the interval may change with it — tell us and we will advise.
Pricing, quotes & variations
- Our flat rate is $120 + GST for the first 10 items tested, then $5–$8 each + GST for additional items depending on quantity and work environment.
- A quote is based on the item count and site conditions described to us. If the actual count or conditions differ materially, the price may be adjusted — we will tell you before continuing.
- Phone quotes are subject to the actual condition and quantity of equipment found on site.
Cancellations
Please give us reasonable notice if you need to reschedule. A fee may apply where we attend as arranged and cannot begin work — for example because the site is inaccessible or the equipment is unavailable.
Payment terms
Invoices are payable on the terms stated on the invoice. A late-payment surcharge may apply to overdue invoices. For non-payment we may engage a debt collector, with costs borne by the customer.
Drop-in service
You are welcome to bring equipment to us by appointment. Items left with us remain your property and should be collected promptly once testing is complete.
Liability
We carry appropriate insurance and our technicians are licensed (licence number 67096). Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we are not responsible for pre-existing faults, for loss arising from equipment failing a test, or for data loss on equipment that was not shut down before testing as requested above.
Your rights under Australian law
These terms sit alongside, and never reduce, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
